March Health & Safety Challenge

Each month there will be a personal challenge to help you be healthy and safe this year. If you discuss and accept this challenge with your parents, you can bring back a slip to be entered in a drawing for monthly rewards. You can also do your part to earn a “Blow Up Toy” Activity Day for the whole school at the end of the year. We are excited to see the fantastic students and staff at McKinley Elementary get fit and have fun this year!

March Challenge: Be Smart
Make smart choices about what you eat.

1. Be smart about what you eat! Read labels and be aware of how much sugar and fats you are eating.
2. Make smart choices about healthy snacks. Choose snacks that are low in sugar and fats and high in fiber and vitamins. Stay away from junk food!
3. Keep track of how many fruits and vegetables you are eating. Do you get 5 a day? Try something new and different this month
